Not that anybody needs an excuse to ride to California in the beautiful summer time, but Born Free is hands down a giant excuse to ride out west from the eastern coast of North Carolina. Four friends are gonna set out to accomplish that task on June 15th this year, on old motorcycles, not seeking fame or fortune but seeking a dream that many have found before.
I'm not sure if it's the trip itself, the scenary, the comraderie, or the adventure that is unknown before us that makes us under think how epic this trip will be.We have seen the pictures from previous trips and heard the stories but we want out own.
We have sacrificed, sweated, blead, and stayed up late working on these fine tuned machines. To prepare them for the thousands of miles that they face, over mountains, through deserts, under the moon and stars, under the sun.

Riding through the desert may be epic but the other two thousand miles will be just as kool, running out of gas is ok, breakdowns can be fixed on the side of the road, beers and sodas will be drank at the end of everyday to celebrate and reflect on the days accomplishment.
We may be looking for our soul. a new life, what life has in store for us, the last chapter of freedom, the goal of riding coast to coast, midlife crisis, the adventure, or being surrounded by our best friends enjoying everything we do on bikes.
Money, Time, Commitment, Stress, Pain, Blood, Sacrifices, Beer, Soda, have all lead to the success of each of these motorcycles lives, to transport us from one coast to the other.
Whether shiny or dull, chrome or powdercoat, we don't mind at all, we are just looking for freedom on the open rodes of America.Born Free bound we are, Born Free bound we are.

We will try to post as often as we can on the trip.
